Navarro offers an improved upright plant type and lower fiber content in its pods, both big improvements over other Romano types. Navarro Romano beans sets its pods high in the plant, which keeps the pods off the ground and allows for easier hand harvest and a cleaner machine harvest. The fleshy pods are low in fiber, measure 5-1/4 to 5-1/2" in length, and have a sweet, rich Romano bean flavor.
